LYNCH — Word was received here Thursday of the death of Clemen Christensen, 98, of Potsdam, N.Y. Funeral services were pending at Potsdam. He and his wife, Faye, were lifelong residents of Lynch until they moved to Potsdam, N. Y., in 1990, to live with their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lutheran Gulick Jr. Mrs. Christensen died Nov 21,1990. He was born Dec. 20, 1892, to Soren and Kristina Christensen, who homesteaded that year northeast of Lynch. He started his own farm in 1917 near Lynch after he and Faye Looker were married on March 7 in Westville, Texas. They lived on their farm northeast of Lynch through their 72nd wedding anniversary. For many years the Christensens shared their home with rural teachers. He also served on school and town boards." He was survived by 1 sister Julia Prescott at Cottage Grove, Ore.; 2 daughters, 3 grandchildren , 2 great-grandchildren. "He was preceded in death by his wife in 1990.
