Ms. Marcia June Smith, age 62, of Lindale, GA, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2022, at a local hospital.
Ms. Smith was born in Atlanta, GA, on June 13, 1959, daughter of Juanita Smith Henry and the late David Henry. She graduated from Forest Hills Christian School in Stone Mountain, GA. Ms. Smith was a sales representative for the Fairbanks Company in Rome. She had an extremely "green thumb" and an unbelievable talent for not only planning a garden but maintaining it as well. Ms. Smith was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include 4 children; 1 grandson; her mother; her partner; 3 siblings; her beloved dog, Jim; nieces and nephews.
In accordance with her wishes, Ms. Smith will be cremated and a Celebration of Life will be held from 3pm until 5pm on Saturday, May 7, 2022 at Blossom Hill BBQ & Burgers, in Rome, GA.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 12pm until 2pm at Henderson & Sons Funeral Home, South Chapel.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the Rome-Floyd Humane Society, 518 Broad St., Rome, GA 30161.
