He was predeceased by his parents Ila Burgay Bryan and McCastle Bryan of Timpson, Texas; his sister Lavern Allen of Deer Park, Texas; and recently his granddaughter Danielle Christine Benitez of Cypress, Texas. Survived by his daughter Sherry Bryan Sliva and her husband Steven Sliva; his sister Mozelle Bryan English and her husband Sidney English; Ted's grandson Jordan Benitez and his wife Grace Benitez and Jordan's daughter Bonnie Jo.
Ted loved being called "Teddy Bear" by all the girls. He also loved to dance to county music, collect guns, was a hard core supporter of Women's rights, hated war and was definitely a child of the 60's.
