Carol had three daughters, Cynthia, Cheryl and Cassandra.
She was married to Richard Burgess for 54 years. Proud grandma and great grandmother and honorary mom and grandma to many.
Carol was an independent and vivacious woman. She was very active with the Northern Oakland County Girl Scouts for over 25 years where she held many leadership positions specializing in training and recruitment. She also was an active volunteer for the Explorers program, an affiliate of the Boy Scouts of America, a learning life skill program for young men and women. Her volunteerism was extensive, as she was an advanced trainer in first aid and CPR for the Red Cross. An avid bird watcher she could be found spending hours with binoculars in hand and an open bird book identifying birds in the back yard. Carol was well known and loved for her big personality; huge smile; boisterous laugh; and love of people. She will be forever missed by all who loved her.
