DEATH CLAIMS WELL KNOWN LOCAL FARMER
John Shilt, 75, well known farmer who had lived practically all of his life near Verona, expired last Thursday, following a gradual decline in health extending over a period of eight or nine years.
Funeral was held Saturday afternoon from the Verona M.E. church and was in charge of the pastor of the Arcanum Lutheran church. Burial was made in the Verona cemetery.
Mr. Shilt is survived by his wife, one brother, Dr. J.L. Shilt of Dayton, and one sister, Mrs. Rasor of Verona. The late Henry Shilt was a brother and V.J. Shilt, Verona merchant, is a distant cousin.
