From Schaetter Funeral Home:

Rocky Jenkins (June 6, 1948 – August 9, 2022) went home to be with the Lord and to join his loving and lovely wife Sandy the day she was laid to rest. While Rocky fought various medical issues, he passed away from a broken heart when his beloved wife Sandy passed. Originally from Midland, Texas, Rocky was a loving and caring brother, husband, father, and grandfather.

Rocky and Sandy began dating in high school, and were married the summer after graduation, in 1968, and they were each other's only love for 54 years. Rocky was warmly welcomed and loved as a member of the family by the Smith family, especially by Sandy's parents, Nona and Billie Smith

Rocky worked hard his entire life, and he instilled that work ethic and integrity to his sons, who also passed those same qualities to their children. Rocky always made sure his family was taken care of and provided for—no matter the circumstances.

Rocky loved hunting and the outdoors, and some of his favorite times and memories were spent hunting with his sons and grandsons, his father-in-law, Billie "Papa" Smith, and friends. Rocky loved to tell stories, and he never failed to entertain all of those who were around him. Rocky was truly a joy to be around and spend time with for all who were fortunate enough to share time with him. Just like his beloved wife, Rocky always believed in family first, and he loved his family dearly. From his years of hard work and life experiences, Rocky was rich in wisdom, and he would not hesitate to share that wisdom with anyone who wanted to learn and grow from his life lessons.

Rocky was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sandy (Smith) Jenkins, his twin brother, Brocky Jenkins, his brother Bobby Jenkins, his mother, Corene "Cody" (Clayton) Jenkins and his parents-in-law, Nona and Billie Smith of Midland, Texas. Rocky is survived by his loving siblings, Dorothy Corene "Babe" Franks, June Taylor, Stormy Richardson, his two amazing sons, Shane (Michelle) Jenkins and Brent (Esther) Jenkins of Boerne, Texas, along with seven grandchildren (Colby Jenkins, Cameron Jenkins, Zack Woody, Brittany Woody, Jagger Jenkins, Sophie Jenkins, and Talan Jenkins) and three greatgrandchildren (Austin, Addie, and Lynnlea), and three sisters-in-law (Gail McCall, Vickie (Ray "Butter") Lipps, Jeannie (Bob) Bailey), all of whom are Texans.

The family will greet friends on Monday, August 15th from 9 to 10 A.M. in the Gazebo at the Greenwood Cemetery with a Funeral Service at 10 A.M. with Rev. Bubba Stahl officiating.

Pallbearers are Colby Jenkins, Cameron Jenkins, Jagger Jenkins, Talan Jenkins, Bill Gottschalk and Justin Nelson
