Lorraine Susie Anderson, daughter of Joseph and Anna (Hoium) Anderson, was born April 7, 1931, in Cyrus, Minnesota. She was baptized June 1, 1931, and confirmed March 25, 1945, at Cyrus Lutheran Church. Lorraine grew up and attended school in Cyrus. On September 4, 1948, she was united in marriage to Donald Lindor. Following their marriage, the couple started farming near Cyrus until 1954, when they moved to their farm place south of Chokio. In 1995, Don retired from farming and he and Lorraine moved to Morris. Don passed away February 2, 2014. Lorraine continued to live at her home in Morris until February of 2021 when she moved to The Legacy.
Lorraine was a charter member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Chokio. She enjoyed cooking, baking, entertaining, and was well known for her pies and lefse. Lorraine and Don wintered in Safford, AZ for 25 years. She loved watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren's sporting events and school activities. She was very involved in church activities and enjoyed visiting shut-ins at the nursing home. Lorraine loved to make people laugh and was a jokester, often laughing at herself. She was very close to her sisters and enjoyed visiting and spending time with them as much as she could. Lorraine will be remembered as being a caregiver, the best mother and grandmother, and a great role model.
Lorraine passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022, at The Legacy in Morris, Minnesota. She was 91 years old.
She is survived by three children: David Lindor of Wanamingo, Jerry (Mary) Lindor of Morris and Nancy (Randy) Haas of Willcox, AZ; son-in-law: Tim Lind of Miltona; 12 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two sisters: Celia Heggestad of Starbuck and Joann Holten of Starbuck and sister-in-law: Darlene Kringen of Yakima, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband: Donald Lindor; daughter: Kathy Lind; her parents; brother: Arden Anderson and infant brother: David and sisters: Arlene, Exilona and Dorothy.
