David Michael Small, 42, of Wytheville, VA, died Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Wythe County Community Hospital in Wytheville.
Born September 26, 1979, in Bluefield, WV, he was the son of the late Florence Ann Small.
David was a graduate of Princeton Senior High School and of the Pentecostal faith. He formerly worked at Sonic in Wytheville.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Tommy and Darla Small; uncle, Tommy Small; and several cousins.
He is survived by his partner of two years, Noah Guthrie of Wytheville; sister, Brittney Small and her children, Arabella and Elijah Early of Athens; aunts, Mary Small of Princeton, Tina Hypes of Wytheville, Teresa Staab of Princeton, and Marcella Whittaker of Princeton; uncle, Frank Small of Knoxville, TN; several cousins; and special friends, Megan Jennings of Princeton, Dana Burks, Glenna Turner, and Wayne Cline, all of Wytheville, C.J. Hale of Huntington, Edward Farley, and Roger Harmon, both of Princeton.
Graveside funeral rites will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 10, 2022, at Oakwood Park Cemetery in Princeton. Those attending the graveside service are asked to meet at the cemetery by the service hour.
