Rev. William Dean Parker, Sr.
July 23, 1962 - May 27, 2022 (age 59)

Rev. William Dean Parker, Sr., 59, passed away on Friday, May 27, 2022. He was born on July 23, 1962 in Prattville, Alabama to the late Andrew J. Parker Sr. and Rosetta Jones Parker.

William accepted Jesus Christ as his Savior at an early age and was baptized at Bethesda Missionary Baptist Church in Prattville, Alabama. He later served as an Associate Minister at Bethesda Baptist Church. William also reconstituted the Male Chorus and served as a faithful member of the Bethesda Anointed Spiritual Singers choir. He was well known for his passion for music and his sultry voice. William also was a member of numerous singing groups including, The Spiritual Echoes and the Sounds of Heaven (a family group which he established).

William graduated from Autaugaville High School in 1980. After High School, he enlisted into the United States Army, where he served 4 years and received an honorable discharge. In 2004, he had a life altering motorcycle accident which confined him to a wheelchair. William didn't let the wheelchair define him, but it renewed his faith in God. He was always filled with faith, joy, and laughter. Prior to his accident, William was part of the Jam Riders Motorcycle Bike Club where he became officially known as the "Terminator."

William had an enormous heart filled with love for God and his family and he was loved by many. Those who were fortunate enough to cross paths with him, knew how determined and independent he was despite his situation. He made an impact on many people and will continuously live through those he loved and those who loved him.

William was preceded in death by his parents and one son, William Dean "Cochise" Parker Jr. Survivors include: his children; grandchildren; siblings; an uncle and an aunt; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

The New Testament of The Holy Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 10: Verses 11-15 read:
11 - For the Scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on Jesus Christ shall not be ashamed.
12 - For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon Him.
13 - For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
14 - How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?
15 - And how shall they preach, except they be sent? as it is written, How beautiful are the feet of them that preach the gospel of peace, and bring glad tidings of good things!
