Yvonne Annette Graham, 85, of Anna, died Thursday, Jan. 20, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on Sept. 24, 1936, in Anna, the daughter of Lowell E. and Wanda J. Watkins Calvert.

She married Richard Otis Graham on Oct. 16, 1960, at Saratoga United Methodist Church and they were able to celebrate 60 years together.

Mrs. Graham worked at the Florsheim Shoe Factory for 13 years before deciding to stay home to be a full-time mother and wife.

She was a 4-H leader of the Lick Creek 4-H Club for over 45 years. She had served on the 4-H Extension Council and was a member of the Union County Cattleman Association.

She was the local Bible Quiz director at the Anna First Church of the Nazarene for 18 years, and the Illinois District director for 20 years. She taught hundreds of children the word of God.

She and her husband entertained many 4-H, Bible Quizzing and church activities over the years at their residence. She also served on the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery Board for 38 years.

She was saved at the age of 13. She became a member of the Saratoga United Methodist Church and was later baptized in the Bradshaw Creek.

She taught Sunday School since she was 15 and had always been an avid supporter of Sunday School.

In 1972, Mrs. Graham joined the Anna First Church of the Nazarene, where she served on the Sunday School board for many years and started the children's church program.

She loved working on the family farm along with her husband. Together they chopped wood, raised Black Angus cattle and grew beautiful vegetable and flower gardens. She loved cooking meals for her family and many friends.

She is survived by her daughter, Vonda (Brian) Hill of Anna; grandsons Christopher Hill and Michael Hill (fiancé Hailey Whitis), all of Anna; sisters Elaine (Robert) Edwards of Wellsville, Mo., Donna (Larry) Dyer of Foristell, Mo., and Diana (Fletcher) Johnson of Harrisburg; a brother, Dean Corbit of Buncombe; a sister-in-law, Sandy Graham of Anna; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard; her parents; a sister, Carlista Pitts of Jonesboro; brothers-in-law William T. Graham of Dongola, Thomas Graham of High Ridge, Mo., Walter Graham of Jonesboro, Curtis Graham of Alvord, Texas, and John Pitts of Cobden; sisters-in-law Clara Graham of Dongola, Beverly Graham of High Ridge, Mo., Karen Graham of Alvord, Texas, and Elizabeth Corbit of Buncombe; her stepmother, Lois Corbit of Buncombe; her mother-in-law, Verda (McCommons) Graham and her father-in-law, William F. Graham.

Visitation for Yvonne Annette Graham will be Friday, Jan. 28, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m., at the Anna First Church of the Nazarene.

Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 29, at 1 p.m. in the church sanctuary, with the Rev. Trenton Ice officiating.

Friends can call Saturday at the church after 11 a.m. and until the time of service.

Interment will follow in Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requests with gratitude that memorial contributions be made the the Anna Nazarene Church children's Bible Quizzing program or to the Ebenezer Hall Cemetery.
