Born May 16, 1934, in the Hebron Community of Williamsburg, County he was a son of the late Sherman Coker and the late Ethel Avant Coker. He was the owner and operator of Jack's Welding and Radiator Service in Olanta. Brother Jack shared the Gospel wherever he went and pastored at the following churches; Beulah Free Will Baptist Church; was the founding pastor of Trinity Full Gospel Church (now known as New Covenant Pentecostal Holiness Church); he reorganized the First Pentecostal Baptist Church of Effingham; and filled in at the Olanta Pentecostal Holiness Church. Brother Jack's favorite ministry was sitting around the coffee pot and sharing the Good News at Blakes Country Store.
