David Davis Obituary Aug 4, 2006

Services for David Davis, 64 of Lubbock will be at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 4, 2006 at Monterey Baptist Church with the Rev. Jim Brown officiating. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, 2006 in the Winfield Cemetery, Winfield, Tx. Under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors.

Mr. Davis died Tuesday, Aug. 1, 2006.

He was born June 5, 1942 in Pittsburg, Tx. David graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor's degree in Mathematics. He married Maureen McWaltters on Jan. 24, 1970 in Pittsburg. She died on Nov. 9, 1994. David worked for GTE retiring after 30 years in 1993. After retirement, he moved from Bryan to Lubbock where he enjoyed studying history, traveling, and sports. He was a member of the Red Raider Club, Texas Tech Alumni Association, and Monterey Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Patrick Davis and wife Dana: daughter Emily Casanova and husband James along with their children, Isaiah and Abigail Casanova all of Lubbock: and 2 brothers, Tom Julian of Lubbock and Drew Julian of Austin.

Memorials are suggested to Monterey Baptist Church, 3601 50th Street, Lubbock, Texas 79413.
