Melissa Ann Turpin Stamps, age 45, of Carnesville, GA, passed away Tuesday, August 31, 2021.

Born October 26, 1975 in Stephens County, she was the daughter of Eddie Lee and Carolyn Ausburn Turpin.

She was of the Baptist Faith and was employed with Wal-Mart in Commerce.

Family members include her parents, Eddie and Carolyn Turpin of Carnesville; husband, James Anthony Stamps; son and daughter-in-law, Levi Stamps and Cherokee Shelley of Carnesville; grandsons, Carson Stamps and Cooper Stamps; sisters and a brother-in-law, Donna Turpin of Carnesville and Regina Addison and James of Toccoa; brother and sister-in-law, Lamar Turpin and Rachel of Martin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at three o'clock, Wednesday, September 8, 2021 from the Chapel of Whitlock Mortuary with Dr. Tommy Childress and the Rev. Paul Hood.

The family will receive friends at the mortuary from 1pm until the service hour on Wednesday.
