Tanya was born in Savannah, GA. She lived most of her life in Savannah before moving to Pembroke 5 years ago.
She had worked as a Customer Service Representative for St. Joseph's Hospital. Tanya was a member of Pembroke First Baptist Church. She liked to cross-stitch and read. She loved family time and playing board games.
Tanya was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel Arthur Hopper, Sr. and her father, Orson William Swofford, Jr.
She is survived by her children, Daniel Arthur Hopper, Jr. of Savannah, Candace Mique Hopper of Savannah, and Jenna Lee Hopper of Pembroke; her mother, Trina Swofford of Tennessee; her sisters, Tane' Lynn Tupper of Savannah, Betsy Stewart (Pat) of Marietta, and Stacy Dee Benbrooks (Kerre) of Richmond Hill; a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, August 12, 2022 at Richmond Hill Funeral Home. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service.
Burial will follow in Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
