*Sister In Christ*

"Dorothy Mae Moss Howard, was born on Saturday, January 19, 1946 in Warrenton (Warren County), GA. She was the daughter of the late Mattie Ruth Emerson and the late Willie Moss. After a brief illness, Dorothy departed this earthly life and entered in heavenly rest on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the Piedmont-Augusta hospital in Augusta (Richmond County), GA.

As a child and young lady, Dorothy received her education by attending the public schools of Thomson (McDuffie County), GA. At a very early age, she accepted Jesus, The Christ, into her life as her personal savior and joined the Winn Oliver AME Church of Norwood (Warren County), GA located within the Cadley Community. As a member of Winn Oliver AME Church, Dorothy served proudly as an Usher and Trustee.

Not only was Dorothy a loving and compassionate mother of five children; she was truly a wonderful daughter, grandmother, sister, auntie and friend to many. Dorothy was honest and completely authentic. She will be loved always and forever missed!

In addition to her parents, our beloved Dorothy Mae Moss Howard was predeceased by many dear loved ones: a daughter, LaRunda Howard; a grandson, Stantavious Latimore; a great-granddaughter, Irie Latimore; three sisters, Betty Ruth Moss Jackson, Clara Louise Moss, and Catherine Moss; two brothers, John "Dick" Moss and James "Bubba" Moss.

Those left to cherish the best of times and hold tight to her memory: four loving children, Andrew (Sandra) Moss of Simpsonville, SC, David (Wanda) Howard of Augusta, GA, Aretha Howard and Ronnie, Sr. (Jacqueline) Howard, all of Thomson, GA; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a sister, Christine Moss of Thomson, GA; a brother, Henry Moss of Thomson, GA; a devoted sister-in-law, Mary Durham of Thomson, GA; two additional sisters-in-law, Elnora Beatrice Moss and Mary Bailey, both of Thomson, GA; three aunts, Sarah Jenkins, Nellie Pearl Harris, both of Thomson, GA and Fannie Worrell of Dearing, GA; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends."
