Graveside services for Patricia Ann Rogers Holcomb were held Friday, April 8, 2022 at Forestlawn Gardens, led by Bro. Ted Embry. Patricia passed away, surrounded by her family, on the morning of April 6, 2022. Patricia was a native and lifelong resident of Calhoun County, residing predominantly in Oxford, Alabama. She worked for the Oxford City School System for over thirty years. There was rarely an outing where "Mrs. Holcomb" wouldn't be heard from someone close by. She loved working with the students and staff of Oxford City Schools and found her joy in knowing them. Throughout her life, she served her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She was a loving wife, mom, mother-in-law, maw-maw, gran-gran, great grandmother and loyal friend. Although she has gone on to dance in Heaven, her humor, love, energy, passion and influence will be greatly missed. Patricia is preceded in death by her granddaughter, Ella Kathryn Watson; mother, Mary Wade, and father, Odis Rogers; stepfather, Paul Wade, Sr.; and sister, Mary Holder. Survivors include her husband, James Holcomb; daughters, Cynthia Cates (Scott) and Cassie Watson (Len); granddaughters, Tori Sloan (Joseph) and Emme Watson; great grandchildren, J.W. Sloan and Lucy Sloan; sisters, Sue Waldrep, Deb Elder, Marilyn Wade, Tabitha Wade and Renee Leyden (Derek); brothers, Odis Rogers (Wanda), Elbert Rogers (Linda), Jim Rogers, Paul Wade Jr. (Karen), and Rodney Wade (Becky); a brother-in-law, David Holder; and numerous nieces and nephews.
