Actor. He was best known to television viewers as the helicopter pilot Theodore "T.C." Calvin on the popular 1980s CBS detective drama "Magnum, P.I." He made his acting debut in 1971 on the television series "Longstreet." Besides "Magnum, P.I.," he later appeared in such television series as "Sanford and Son," "Night Gallery," "Kojak," "Starsky and Hutch," "You Take the Kids," "Hangin' with Mr. Cooper," "Rude Awakening," and "FCU: Fact Checkers Unit." In 1972, he made his film debut in "The New Centurions." His later film credits included such titles as "McQ," (1974) "Leadbelly," (1976) "The Greatest," (1977) "Unlawful Entry," (1992) and "Hammerlock" (2000). He passed away days after a horrific car accident that left him paralyzed from neck down.
