WILLIAM P. BAKER (1877-1973)
William Peter Baker was born in Lincoln, 111., a son of Peter and Amelia Baker. In 1907 he came to the Livona area of Emmons County and lived there until 1936 when he moved 12 miles southwest of Hazelton. In the 1930's he served as a member of the Gayton District school board a number of years. He married Selma Louise Horstmeyer Dec. 8, 1915.
They were the parents of the following children: Elmer, Ralph, Ervin, Walter, Erma (Morse), Lynn, Bernice (Flegel), Katherine (Lammert) and Beverly (Fritz).
