Rebecca Jayne Stephens, age 65, Carl Junction, Missouri, passed away on Sunday, August 7th, 2022.
Rebecca was born March 15, 1957 in Stella, Missouri to the late union of Carus Walker Babb and Rachel (Long) Babb. She was a 1975 graduate of East Newton High School. She then went on to obtain her Bachelors degree in Childhood and Early Childhood Education from Missouri Southern State University in 2000. Before graduating college she married the love of her life, Charles Stephens, on May 5th, 1981 in Miami, Oklahoma. Together they were blessed with 15 years before his passing on January 7th, 1997. She enjoyed reading, but adored her grandbabies the most.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her two siblings, Carolyn Babb Hughes and Larry Babb.
Rebecca is survived by her two children; and 10 grandchildren.

I have known Rebecca Stephens probably since 1986 when I had opened my beauty shop in Joplin Mo, which was in business until 2003. I've remained friends with her and her daughter through the years. It breaks my heart to learn of her passing.
