Chief Robert "Bobby" Leon Edwards, Sr., of Nashville, TN passed away on July 18, 2022.

Preceded in death by his parents, Thomas Ray Edwards and Bessie Sloan; stepmother, Sarah Edwards; stepbrother, Tony Sloan.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Diane Edwards; children, Robert (Tina) Edwards, Jr., Donna (Mike) Ryman, Dana (Jimmy) Griffith, and Lisa (Mitch) Godwin; sister, Sandra ("Billy") Weston; 9 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren, extended family, and brothers and sisters at the Fire Department.

Bobby spent 36 years at the Fire Department, Metro Davidson County beginning his career at Station 9, 'The Bottoms', finishing it at headquarters with many stations in between. He loved each of them.

Visitation will be at Phillips-Robinson Funeral Home, 2707 Gallatin Rd. in Nashville, TN, Thursday, July 21, from 4-8pm, Friday, July 22, from 12-8pm, and Saturday, July 23, from 11-12pm.

The service will be held on Saturday, July 23 at 12pm, in our chapel, with Bro. Buck Dozier officiating.
