Bill D Burleson, 48, Bridgeport, a former resident of Chelan, died Wednesday on the Brewster hospital, following a short illness.

He was born June 26, 1931, at Hamilton, Ala., and attended schools there. He later moved to Tennessee and married Darlene Campbell on March 15, 1975, at Alamo, Tenn.

They moved to Chelan in 1977 and to Bridgeport in 1979.

Survivors include his wife, at that home; two sons, Dempsey and Noel, and one daughter, Bethney, all of League City, Texas; a stepdaughter, Marie Campbell, Brownsville, Texas; seven brothers, Delmer of Chelan, Ray of Rye, Texas, Ben of Tupelo, Miss., Orbie of Bridgeport, Joe, Dicky and Charlie, all of Alamo, Tenn., and Jessie of Deer Park, Texas; six sisters, Dora Followell, Dorothy Burkett, Virdia Haskins and Shirley Trevino, all of Chelan Falls, Sue Plunk of Grangeville, Tenn., and Diane Burleson of Alamo, Tenn.; his stepmother, Syble Burleson, Alamo, Tenn.; and one grandson.
