Lynnwood Man Killed In Wreck
Frank Hale, Sr., Is Victim


Frank Hale, Sr., 68 (sic) prominent resident of Lynnwood, was fatally injured Saturday night at 9:30 o'clock, when a car in which he was a passenger, went over an embankment and overturned at West Springfield, Pa., near Conneaut, Ohio.
Suffering from a broken neck, he was taken to a physician's office, where he succumbed 30 minutes later. Unconscious when pulled from the wreckage, the injured man regained consciousness a few minutes before his death.
Two of Hale's sons and a son in law were also in the car and all escaped serious injury. Charles Hale was driving the machine, the other passengers were Frank Hale, Jr., and Vincent Boag.
The body was returned to a Belle Vernon mortuary late Saturday night.
The men were enroute to the Van Roberts camp near Erie where they planned on visiting with friends . They were within four miles of their destination when the fatally accident occurred.
According to reports, the car left the road on a curve in the highway and overturned, going over a small embankment.
The deceased is survived by his wife, Mrs. Louisa Calverly Hale; five sons, three daughters, one sister and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Irons, Fayette street, with Rev R. Gaffney of the Rehobeth church officiating. Interment will be in Richland cemetery, Dravosburg.
