Johnny McLellan Faulk, 79 of Samson passed away August 5, 2022, at home, after a brief illness.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 8, 2022, at the First Baptist Church of Samson with Rev. Danny Branch and Rev. Sam Totten officiating. Burial will follow at Travelers Rest cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Monday beginning at 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Travelers Rest cemetery or the First Baptist Church of Samson.

Mr. Faulk was born in Samson, AL on June 20, 1943, to the late JP and Marie Faulk. After high school Johnny attended Troy State University where he played football. He later served in the National Guard. Mr. Faulk was a lifetime resident of Samson, veteran, and member of the First Baptist Church of Samson where he served as a Deacon and youth Sunday school teacher. He had a long career as a training instructor at Ft. Rucker until his retirement. His hobbies included fishing, Alabama Football, the Dodgers, and golf. He loved his wife and his family very much.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother and sister-in-law, Tim Faulk (Cornelia); sister, June Faulk Schroeder, sister and brother-in-law, Alice Faulk Ryan (James).

Mr. Faulk is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, a brother, and several nieces and nephews.
