A celebration of life remembering Mr. Arnold Fields, Jr. who sunset on August 2, 2022 will be held on Saturday August 13, 2022 at 10:30 a.m. at First Baptist Church of College Hill, 3838 North 29th Street, Tampa, Florida Rev. Dr. S. Evan Burrows, Senior Pastor with Rev. Christopher Jarnegan, Eulogist/Officiating.
Interment will follow in Rest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery, 4615 E. Hanna Avenue, Tampa, Florida.
The Lord shined upon the union of Mr. & Mrs. Arnold and Vera Fields on July 23, 1936, in Tampa, Florida with the birth of their son, Arnold Fields, Jr. He was converted, at an early age, and baptized in the Baptist faith, where he became a member of First Baptist Church of College Hill. He was an avid fisherman, and his catch of choice was "brims and catfish." He worked for Coca-Cola Bottling Company during his early years; however, his permanent career journey led him to Ryder Truck Rental as a truck driver where he retired after several years. Arnold transitioned to receive his eternal reward on August 2, 2022.
Arnold was preceded in death by his parents, Arnold and Vera Fields; siblings, Vera Prince, Dolores Green and Ronald E. Fields; brothers-in-law, Oscar, Frank, Lucious, and Timothy Langston, Carl Stafford and sister-in-law, Thelma Branton.
He leaves fond memories to carry on his legacy with his wife of 66 years, Hazel E. Langston Fields; he was blessed with four daughters, Janice (Anthony) Cole, Sr., Linda Edwards, Deborah Fields, Harriett McNealy and one son, Michael E. Fields; a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren. His siblings, Betty Glenn, Eartha Thomas (Dennis), Thelma Stafford, Patricia Johnson (Arthur), Sharon Canty (Lenzo); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; sister-in-law, Edwina Fields; brother-in-law, Charles E. Langston and a host of other relatives and friends.
