He was born in Kosciusko, MS to the late Paul Felix Rainey and Sandra Edwina Miller Rainey.
He was a home builder for over 30 years and was project manager for the United States and British Embassy's when they were built in Afghanistan. He also worked for CSX Transportation for a period of time and helped anyone with odd jobs over the years.
He was simply a giving person. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waycross. He was a wonderful Christian who was very knowledgeable of the bible. He spent several hours each morning reading his devotion.
He is survived by his wife, Sue Rainey of Waycross;
a daughter, Paige Swaine of Phoenix, AZ;
and two granddaughters,
Alexis Swaine of Charleston, SC and
Roni Nicole Swaine of Phoenix, AZ.
The family will be receiving friends at Music Funeral Home on Tuesday evening (August 9, 2022) from 6 until 8 o'clock.
