Charles "Chuck" L. McMahan, 65, of Manito, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Unity Point Health Pekin. He was born April 3, 1957 in Pekin to Harrison and E. Roberta Russell McMahan.
Surviving is Danny (Jess) Thompson of Creve Coeur, who he considered his son; two daughters, Jamie (Mark) Baer of Tremont and Amber (Ryan) Lohnes of Pekin; five grandchildren, Morgan and Kylee Baer, Keegan Frese, and Cameron and Grace Martin; and two brothers.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother.
Chuck worked at Diamond Star in Bloomington and worked part time at the "T" Shirt House in Pekin.
He served in the United States Marines as a diesel mechanic.
He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, camping, and playing the guitar.
Cremation has been accorded. A private celebration of Chuck's life will be at a later date. Davis-Oswald Funeral Home in Tremont is handling the arrangements.
