Tonya Sue Brand, 50, of Altus, Oklahoma passed away on Tuesday, August 2, 2022.
Tonya was born on August 10, 1971 in Altus to Jim and Sue (Clendennen) Brand. She attended Caesar Rodney High School in Delaware and graduated with the class of 1989. Tonya received a full scholarship to play basketball at Western Oklahoma State College. She was a certified locksmith and often assisted her parents on large jobs. She dedicated her life to her two boys and her work. Tonya was the most selfless woman who never turned down someone in need. From all her volunteer work for the community to her help with the Navajo School sports functions, and so much more. Tonya loved scary films and taking her boys and nephew to haunted houses. She was an avid reader in her down time. Tonya always had room in her heart for animals. From her own personal rescues and strays that came into her life to working with local greyhound farms where she spent countless hours cleaning, feeding and training professional racers. Tonya was kind, fun loving, easy going, loyal to the core, and a very hard worker; but mostly devoted to her boys.

Her grandmothers, Lillie Mae Clendennen and Ruth Brand preceded her in death.

Those left to honor Tonya's memory are her sons, Mason Thomas Brand and Airen Josefy; her sisters, Hypatia Marie Brand and Rachel Brand Mills and husband, Robert; nieces and nephews, Brandt Hughes, Jarrett Brand, Lilly Garcia and Cheylee Dennis.
