Donnie Dean Kinnaird, 86, of Delaware, passed away Wednesday morning, August 3, 2022 into the waiting arms of Jesus, surrounded by his loving family at WillowBrook Christian Village in Columbus.

Born on November 20, 1935 in Mason County, West Virginia, he was the son of the late Rev. Charles "Tommy" and Martha (Duncan) Kinnaird. Donnie was a graduate of Point Pleasant High School in West Virginia and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy during the Korean War.

He was a sheet metal worker and heating and air specialist with Local #98, retiring after 35 years. He loved his family and had a quick wit and wonderful sense of humor. He enjoyed watching sports especially his Cincinnati Reds.

He was a faithful Servant and dedicated member of the East Side Mission Church throughout his life, serving as a song leader and singing with his wife there for many years, as well as his daughter and son. He also was a player/coach for years on the Eastside Mission softball team. A devoted Christian, Donnie was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

He is survived by his 6 children, Michael (JoAnn), Vicki (John) Rich, Steve (Patty), Kevin (Janelle), Pam (Rick) Clark, and Suzanne Kinnaird; 12 grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Becky; brothers, Gary (Joan) and Ferrell (Nancy) Kinnaird; sisters, Lu Henry, Connie (Ron) Blume, Pat Melton, Tammy (Marty) Smith, and Marilyn Dlesk; sister-in-law, Betty (Gary) Daupenspeck; brother-in-law, Carl Henry; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Donnie was preceded in death by his loving wife of 48 years, JoAnne (Henry) Kinnaird, his son Bruce Alan Kinnaird, infant siblings Trixie and Dixie Kinnaird, and his brother-in-law Roger Henry.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, August 9, 2022 from 4 - 7 pm at the Snyder-Rodman Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive, Delaware and again on Wednesday, August 10, 2022 at the Eastside Mission Church, 32 Joy Avenue, Delaware from 11:00 am until the time of services at 12:00 noon at the church. Rev Donnie Akers will officiate. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery with the Delaware County Veterans Association and members of the United States Navy providing military honors.
