Edith Ruth Lamm

Edith Ruth Lamm, 97, of Greenville died the morning of Sept. 10, 2008, at Greencrest Manor. Funeral services are at 2 p.m. today in the Coker-Mathews Funeral Home chapel with Andy Talley officiating. Burial follows in Memoryland Memorial Park.

Daughter of Turner Wilson and Iola Roberts Singleton, she was born Aug. 25, 1911, in Kaufman County. On Nov. 6, 1932, she was married to Orville Carl Lamm in Hunt County. She was a homemaker and a Methodist.

Surviving are a daughter, Marie Stailey of Greenville; sister Bess Swinson of Wolfe City; grandsons and their wives Carl and Stephanie Walls, Gary and Gayle Walls and Rodney and Misty Stailey, all of Greenville; six great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter, Betty Walls Sprouse; two sons-in-law, Jerry Stailey and George Walls; grandchild, Jerry L. Stailey; great-grandchild Holden Stailey; three sisters and five brothers.

Pallbearers are Ralph Cowgill, Nathan Davenport, Kenneth Green, Colby Stailey, Rodney Stailey and Jason Walls.
