WEST LAFAYETTE- Mrs. Iva May Carpenter, 87, of 120 E. Stewart Ave., died Monday night in her home following a long illness.
Born at Mohaw in Coshocton County, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Martha Cochran Spang. She was a member of West Lafayette Methodist Church.
Surviving are her husband, Jacob; two son, Fay of Coshocton and Richard (Jake) of the home; a daughter, Mrs. Doyle (Beatrice) Castor, of RD 1, here; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. A daughter, two sisters and four brothers are deceased.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Bonnell-O'Neill Funeral Home with Rev. Charles Ireland officiating. Burial will be in Fairfield Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Wednesday for 2 t 4 and 7 to 9 and until time of services Thursday.
