Mrs. Alice Menefee, wife of John Menefee, member of the Monessen City council, and owner of the brick works in Gibson, died suddenly at 8 o'clock this morning at the family home 682 McKee avenue, Monessen. Mrs. Menefee had been enjoying the best of health, but last night complained of headache. She was suddenly seized with a stroke, lapsing into unconsciousness at 6 o'clock last night, in which state she remained until her passing this morning.
Mrs. Menefee was very well known, not only in Monessen, but also in Charleroi and vicinity, and her sudden death will be a shock to her many friends.
