James Allen Scott, 63, Marion, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2022, in his home. He was born in Montecito, California, on Thursday, June 11, 1959.

James was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and was honorably discharged. Following his military service, he was a marketing representative for many years. He enjoyed several hobbies, such as reading, camping, and taking walks. He especially liked to cook and watch Master Chef. He also liked to watch the show Law and Order. Above all things, though, James loved spending time with friends and family.

Survivors include his significant other, Wayne Aidt of Marion; daughters, Amber of Anderson and Cheyanne Aidt of Marion; daughter-in-law, Chassidy of Marion; adoptive daughter, Jennifer Elliott of Kokomo; grandson, Johnathan; step-grandsons, Zachery Aidt of Marion and Landyn Aidt; brothers-in-law, Troy Aidt of Marion and Jay Aidt of Marion; friends, Mark (Kimmy) Maynard of Anderson, Jerry of Anderson, and Nikki Mahla of Anderson; and many close friends and other family members.

A memorial service for James will take place a later date.
