Dick was born in Baldwinsville, NY, graduated from MVT and became a software engineer for Burrough's in Syracuse, then Unisys in Michigan and lastly, Unisys in the Philadelphia area. They have resided in Florida since his retirement in 2000. He and Joan were world travelers especially enjoying their many Holland America cruises.
Dick was predeceased by his parents, Patsy and Margaret Allen, and brother William "Bill" Allen, he is survived by his loving wife Joan of 63 years (who he met in the fifth grade) and their four children - son Richard (Carol), daughters Cathy Adams (George), Cindy Reinhard, Wendy White (Lawrence). He also leaves his brothers John (Rita), Ed, and sister Anne Tyner (Don), 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
There will be a celebration of life at Falardeau Funeral Home on Sunday, August 28, 2022 at 12 pm, the family will receive visitors prior to the service beginning at 11am. The celebration will continue at Tassone's Wine Garden Restaurant, 8113 Dexter Parkway, Baldwinsville, N.Y. following the service, friends and family are invited to attend.
