Kate was the daughter of John C. Cunningham and Adeline Reed. She married first to Samuel Tindall. He might be the Samuel Tindall who died 11 June 1864, referred to as a soldier in Company B.

Kate married second to John H. W. Seeds (who had served in Company B, New Jersey Cavalry, during the Civil War) on 28 Mar. 1867.

The 1900 Census indicates that she had been mother of 9 children, of whom 4 were then living. At this time, two children are known from her first marriage and four are known from her second marriage.

The following obituary was contributed by Carol Foss (thanks!) from the Trenton Evening Times, Trenton, NJ, 8 Jan. 1914:

SEEDS--On January 5th 1914, Kate W Seeds, widow of the late John H W Seeds, aged 70 years. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral on Friday, Jan 9, 1914, at 1:30 o'clock from the residence of Mrs Noah Seeds, No 531 Brunswick Avenue, Trenton, NJ. Interment at Riverview Cemetery.
