Katharina Hilde "Katie" Johnson, age 73, of Amity, died Friday, April 18, 2003 at her home.

She was born on December 4, 1929 in Esslingen am Neckar, Germany, the daughter of Karl Weber and Emma Haag Weber Zaiser. On February 10, 1952, she was married to Leonard Monroe Johnson who preceded her in death on May 4, 1995.

She was a member of the Bethsaida Church of Christ and active in the Arkadelphia Senior Citizens Center.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Steve Foster of Newalla, Oklahoma; her son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Kathy Johnson of Amity; three grandchildren, Brandon Foster, Holly Johnson Rowton and Heidi Johnson; one brother and sister-in-law, Helmut and Lottie Weber; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Emma and Antje Gajewski, Elfrieda Bader and Margarete and Otto Krause; one half-brother, Rainer Zaiser all of Esslingen am Neckar, Germany; two sisters-in-law, Irene Howell of Amity and Wanda Golden of Ohio; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, April 21, 2003 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ron Buck officiating.

Visitation will be Sunday, 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM.

Interment will be in the Friendship Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Glenwood
