He studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and worked at the BBC for several years before going into acting. In 1965, he began his acting career on the television series "Front Page Story." He went on to appear in such television series as "Orlando," "Hine," "ITV Playhouse," and "BBC Play of the Month." He also made his film debut in 1965, appearing in "Darling." He went on to appear in such films as "Caligula," (1979) "Body Count," (1986) and "Sinbad of the Seven Seas." (1989) During the early 1970s, his career reached its zenith, when he began acting in Italy and played several memorable villain roles. He continued to act through the 1980s before retiring in 1991 and moving to California, where he became a real estate agent based in Beverly Hills. He passed away of injuries sustained in an automobile crash.
