Born on April 30,1934 Melva Faye Wilson, 88, entered into rest on July 12, 2022 in Manteca, CA. She is preceded in death by parents Melvin and Wilma Beilby, her husband of 67 years Jennings Wilson Jr. and grandson Tyler Wilson.

A devoted wife, mother and grandmother, Melva is survived by her children, Dana Taylor (Ray), J.B Wilson III (Janna), Alice Allen (Bob), and Harlan Wilson (Terry). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Melva has one surviving sister, Gail Allen.

Melva was a long-time member of First Christian Church of Manteca. She was self-employed; selling women's ready-to-wear apparel through Beeline Fashions and Queens Way for over 20 years. Family was everything to Melva; she looked forward to family holidays and get-togethers at the family cabin in Arnold. Melva was extremely artistic; she was a talented painter and gifted at creating ceramics. She was involved with the Lathrop Community Center where she spent many years teaching ceramics and participating in general crafts and making greeting cards. Melva will be remembered for her giving heart, and her love and kindness towards others. She will be deeply missed by all who loved and cared for her.

P.L. Fry is honored to be serving the Wilson family. A celebration of life will be on Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at 9:00 AM at P.L. Fry & Son Chapel, 290 N. Union Rd., Manteca, CA. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband at Cherokee Memorial Park, Lodi, CA.
