Virginia Wallace Reilly Smith passed away in Lodi on July 1, 2022, at the age of 90.
Virginia was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 42 years, Roger 'Russ' Smith on January 13, 2019.
Virginia is survived by her sister Patricia Wallace, daughter Karen (Gabriel) Rodriguez, son Timothy (Lynne) Reilly all of Lodi; step-daughter Karen (Anthony) Stanton,, and seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Virginia enjoyed learning about her family's genealogy and spent many years along with Russ doing research and visiting family sites. She was a lifetime member of Los Californianos and the South San Francisco Historical Society. She enjoyed traveling with her family and seeing the world.
Virginia and husband Russ worked together for many years in the paper and office supply industry before opening and operating their own store in Lodi. 'Office Staples' was located at several different locations during their time in business from 1987 to 2009. Office Staples final store was at 115 S. School Street, the location of the old Woolworths store.
Virginia will be fondly remembered by many as a devoted, kind, generous and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, boss and friend.
Family and friends are invited to attend funeral services at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Mission Rd. , Colma CA on Friday, August 19, 2022 at 10:30 am. Lunch will follow at the Basque Cultural Center.
