Patricia Adkins, 78, of Monaville passed peacefully at her home on Saturday, July 30, surrounded by all her children. She was born January 22, 1944, to the late George and Thelma Erlewine.
She was procaeded in death by her husband of 43 years, Murl Adkins, a daughter, Sharon Nelson and special sister-in-law Rose Erlewine.
Survivors include her daughters Karen Duncan, Dee Pack and Angie Adkins; her sons Timmy (Kammy) Miller, and Brian (Erica Ellis) Adkins; her grandchildren Jo (Mikey) Roberts, Jeremy Duncan, Rachel (Michael) Ghiel, JD (Ashley) Nelson, Josh (Kendra) Miller, Ryan (Paige) Miller, Adam (Sarah) Miller, Millee Neece, Chris Pack, Allen Michael (Shannon Meade) Pack, Alton Ellis, Carson and Katelyn Adkins; her great grandchildren Ryanna (Aaron) Herndon, Braxton Roberts, MyKayla Ghiel, Cameron Dennehy, Ava Nelson, Braxton Roberts, Millee Neece, Rylan Duncan, Harper Miller, Isla Miller, Elliott Miller; and her great-great grandson Cayson Herndon; her sister Barbara (Leon) Hamblin, and brother Bill Erlewine; a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; and her companion of the previous 7 years, Raymond Blankenship.
Our family would like to offer a special thanks to Dignity Hospice, Shannon Meade, and the ladies of Dr. Miller's office for their help in caring for our mother during the last few months.
At Mother's request, a simple graveside service will be conducted on Friday, August 5 at 12:00 pm at Highland Memory Gardens with Rev. John E. Godby and Pastor Roger McCauley officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Christmas Outreach Project at Striker Bible Church.
