Forrest R. Bolin, 72, of Winslow entered into rest on Saturday, July 30, 2022, at St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville surrounded by his loving family. Ray was born on September 5, 1949 (Labor Day that year) to the late Denver L. and Laura Anna (Henson) Bolin at their home in Muren, Indiana.

In his working life, Ray was employed by the Indiana Department of Transportation where he worked as a mechanic until he retired after 32 years. Ray was always a strong family man and loved spending time with them and ALWAYS put them in front of himself. His grandchildren were always his pride and joy always picking on them and teaching them new tricks. He loved camping and spending time outside and always took pride in his yard and garden. He loved decorating for Christmas and was honored to win several county and city contests. He never met a stranger and hardly had anything bad to say about anyone except, "they are just a little different." He was truly a deeply loved man and will be deeply missed.

Ray is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela Bolin; son, Kevin (Sandi) Bolin of Bowman; daughters, Amanda (Andy) Hickman of Winslow, and Brittney (Jared) Tyring of Winslow; brothers, Bob (Peggy) Bolin of Washington, Terry Jo (Mara) Bolin of Winslow; sister, Nina (Lee) McCandless of Winslow; grandsons, Kaleb and Adam Bolin, Colton Wade, Trenton, Colton and Kadon Hickman, Jackson Baker; granddaughters, Izzy and Abby Tyring, Samantha Coomer, and Kayla Anderson; mother-in-law, Viola Buechlein; sisters-in-law, Diane Bolin of Texas, Rene Bolin of Winslow, Deb Fleck of Jasper, and Cindy Neukam of Jasper; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Rene Fuhrman; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by daughter, Bobbie Jo Cropper; sister, Judy Kay; brothers, Ronny "Butch" Bolin, John and his wife Brenda Bolin, Donald and Jack Bolin; and grandson, Timothy Ray Bolin.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 6, 2022 with Pastor Dale Frederick officiating. Friends may visit from 10:00 A.M. until 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 6, 2022. Burial will be at Williams Cemetery following the service.
