Michael D. Turner, husband, son, brother, and lover of music, passed away June 30, 2022, at his home in Alexandria surrounded by family. He was 51, loved to tell a good story and could talk to anyone he met, loved to sing and jam with his band, and would drop everything to help a friend in need.

Born in Columbus, Ohio, Mike was a graduate of Westerville South High School where he ran cross country and track achieving school records. He worked in construction and most recently was plant manager at Sewing Collection Inc. in Columbus, Ohio.

Mike loved being outdoors, active, and spending time with his wife birding and watching the eagles of Granville, Ohio and Decorah, Iowa. He was handy and helped everyone on many projects using his construction skills. Mike will be remembered for his work ethic, resolute determination, strong mindedness, generous heart, genuineness, and good sense of humor.

Surviving are his wife of 28 years, Dawn (Choma) Turner; father and stepmother, Jim and Joyce Turner; mother and stepfather, Jane and John Garrett; 'honorary children," Shannon and Chad; sister, Rachel; half-siblings, Sara and Andy; stepsister, Cristy; and cherished feline companions.

Mike was preceded in death by his stepsister, Laura.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Central Ohio, P.O. Box 430, Newark, OH 43058 or to a non-kill Humane Society of choice.
