She was a graduate of Bloomsburg University. Joann worked as a registered nurse for 36 years at Lehigh Valley Hospital Cedar Crest and was the recipient of the DAISY Award For Extraordinary Nurses in March 2022. She was a member of The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit. She enjoyed gardening, walking, being outdoors, cooking, and spending time with family and friends.
Joann is survived by her husband of 33 years, John; son, Dr. Joshua J. Gregory of Emmaus; daughter, Kelsie wife of Kyle Pane of Albrightsville; brother, Joseph Zenon and wife Dr. Mary of Montana; sister, Mary Ellen wife of Vaughn Hoffman of South Carolina; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Violet Gregory of Emmaus; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Glen and Chris Gregory of Emmaus; niece, Amanda wife of Matt Shramke; nephew, Dr. Kyle Hoffman and wife Dr. Nicole; aunts, uncles, and many cousins.
Funeral services will be held on Thurs., Aug. 4, 2022 at 11:30 AM in The Lutheran Church of the Holy Spirit, 3461 S. Cedar Crest Blvd., Emmaus, PA 18049. Viewing 10:00 to 11:30 AM in the church. Private interment will be in Union Cemetery, Weatherly, PA. Schantz Funeral Home, Emmaus is handling arrangements.
