White died Friday morning in Pineland after a brief illness.
An Alabama native, he moved to Lubbock in 1943 from Knox City, and lived there until 1954, when he moved to California. He returned to Lubbock in 1965.
Survivors include six sons, a daughter, two step-daughters, and three sisters; Della Scott of Glenwood, Ark., Ella Franklin of Rule, and Grace Cowan of Dallas. 25 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
