Larry Zeigler, Sr., 76, of Chattanooga, passed away on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his residence.
He retired from the City of Chattanooga after many years of service.
Larry was preceded in death by his father, Matthew Zeigler; mother, Dixie Lee Zeigler; brother, Lamar Zeigler; grandparents, Sam and Ethel Jones; and brother-in-law, Richard Williams.
Survivors include his wife of 47 years, Patricia Zeigler; sons, Gary Cooper of Chattanooga and Larry (Sheila) Zeigler, Sr. of Memphis, TN; daughters, Cassandra (Solomon) Samuels, Valencia Zeigler, both of Birmingham, AL, Stephanie Cooper of Chattanooga, and Tawana Zeigler of Murfreesboro, TN; 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brother, Fernando (Lucille) Zeigler; sister, Loretta Williams, both of Birmingham; in-laws, Charles and Deborah Simpson, Winifred Jean (Kenneth) Shropshire, Barry Simpson, and Joycelyn (Catlett) Harrison; several nieces; nephews; cousins; other relatives and friends.
Larry will lie in state on Saturday, July 30, at 9 a.m. at Taylor Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will follow at 11 a.m. in the chapel with Pastor Wayne Johnson as the eulogist.
Burial will be on Monday, Aug. 1, at 10 a.m. in Forest Hills Cemetery
