Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 2, at Holland and Barry Funeral Home in Lincoln. The rosary will be recited at 7:45 p.m.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Holy Family Church in Lincoln, with the Rev. Thomas Taylor officiating.
Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Lincoln.
Brinkmeyer farmed in Menard County until he retired in 1992.
He was born Dec. 18, 1912, in Logan County to Herman and Elizabeth Schaub Brinkmeyer. He married Pauline M. Lechleiter on Feb. 16, 1946, in Lincoln. She survives.
Also surviving are one son, Wayne E. Brinkmeyer of Les Clayes sous Bois, France; two grandchildren, Vanessa Brinkmeyer of Paris, France, and Alex Brinkmeyer of Les Clayes sous Bois, France; and four sisters, Florence Dixon of Berkley, Lorene Tackman of Mason City, Dorothy Wark of Middletown and Lucille Lee of Lincoln.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Raymond, and three sisters, Anna Brinkmeyer, Katheryn Price and Louise Whiteman.
He was a member of Holy Family Church and the Menard County Farm Bureau.
