Age 86 of South Carthage. January 26, 2008. Widow of Grover Ellenburg Sr. who died August 31, 1985 after forty five years marriage. Daughter of the late Jim and Ruby Gibbs Boulton. Preceded in death by siblings, Letcher and J.B. Boulton, Agnes Crook, Irma Coleman and Bob Neal Boulton. A member of Plunketts Creek Missionary Baptist Church and longtime manager of the former Carthage Cannery. Survived by three children, Elaine Craighead and husband Cortis of Gainesboro, Grover Ellenburg Jr. and wife Janice of South Carthage, Sammie Ellenburg and wife Janie of Rome; sisters, Virginia Schewendeman of Goodlettsville and Nina Jean Porter of Lumberton, NC; sister-in-law, Sally Boulton of Brush Creek; eight grandchildren, Tracy Craighead and wife Mickey, Tony Craighead and wife Ann, Patricia Craighead, Jason Craighead and wife Jennifer, Richard Ellenburg and wife Retta, Teresa Ellenburg, Kristi Chastain and husband Lynn, Bo Ellenburg and Courtney; eight great grandchildren. Services 11 a.m., Tuesday from the Carthage Chapel of Sanderson Funeral Home with Elder Junior Dickerson officiating. Pallbearers: Five Grandsons and Lynn Chastain. Interment Smith County Memorial Gardens. Visitation Monday from 5 til 8 p.m. and Tuesday after 9 a.m. at SANDERSON OF CARTHAGE
