George Garner married Mary E. Swayzee, 11 December 1862 in Boone County, Indiana. Their first child was born in Indiana, and later children were born in Iowa, Missouri, and Nebraska. In both Iowa and Nebraska he lived near other siblings.
It was uncertain where he lived after the death of his wife Mary, but his California death certificate states that he had lived in California for 20 years before his death, therefore, he was there circa 1890 if that information is correct.
The death certificate also proves his lineage, noting that his parents were William and Mary (Threlkeld) Garner (though her last name was spelled incorrectly). It also states that his burial was in "Evergreen." For more detail, the citation of the certificate is as follows:
"California Death Index, 1905-1939," database with images, FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:2:Q28X-9VXK : 23 February 2021), Entry for George Garner, 30 Jun 1910; citing 15330, Department of Health Services, Vital Statistics Department, Sacramento; FHL microfilm 1,686,045."

Death Notice: Los Angeles Times, July 2, 1910.
DEATHS
GARNER - Funeral notice later. Remains at the new chapel of Orr & Edwards Co., corner of Twelfth and Hope streets.

Research and Submittal by: Vernon Threlkeld (my gr-gr grandfather was a brother of the subject), ID 46986161; July 2022.
