Rich was preceded in death by his parents, Robert and Margaret Ryan, as well as siblings: William Ryan, Molly Booth, and Mildred Knepp. Also preceding him were his son-in-law: Brian Wagoner; brothers-in-law: Ralph Pape, Harold Knepp, and Robert Lashley; and sister-in-law: Mary Lou Ryan.
Rich proudly served his country in the Army. After coming home, he met and married the love of his life, Kay. They remained devoted to each other for 63 years.
Family meant everything to Rich and he spent as much time with them as he could. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and puttering in his yard. He was known for his humor and never met a stranger. Rich worked for the Board of Education for over 20 years. Before that, he worked many different places including PPG and ABL.
