Train Kills Mother, Child
SENATOBIA, Miss., May 26, — A 35-year-old mother and her 4-year-old daughter were killed when their car was hit by a north bound Illinois Central freight train here Friday afternoon. Victims were Mrs. Gladys Douglas Garrett, wife of Carl Garrett, rural mail carrier at Sarah, Miss., and their daughter, Julie Elaine Garrett. Train Conductor H. T. Calhoun said Mrs. Garrett did not attempt to stop the car she was driving.
