Carrie Lee Anderson (Billie Mae) fondly known to family and friends in Texas and in Albion was born in Goodrich, Texas to Jeff and Letha (Nolan) Jackson on November 13, 1929.
Carrie will be sadly missed not only by her family but also by her community. She was active in many local events and activities: Lifetime member of Gertrude Hawkins Women's Society of Lewis Chapel A.M.E. Church, the choir, Vision of Life Bible Class, she loved her church dearly and was a dedicated parishioner and helper. Community involvement was her specialty Ambassador of the Calhoun County Senior Millage, Juneteenth Celebration, Infants and Children, N.A.A.C.P, Community Blood Pressure Nurse, Men Who Cook and many other boards and committees in her community. Carrie was also an Avon, Mary Kay and a Tupperware dealer.

She transitioned to glory on March 14, 2022 under the loving care of her family. Carrie will be missed by her daughter Sandra, son in law Eric Ridley, grandchildren Marcus (Charmain) DeWalt, Texas; Patrick (Michelle) DeWalt, Albion; Corey/Cocoa (Awna) Lindsey, East Lansing; granddaughter Leah (Reginald) Payne, Garnerville, NY. Eighteen great grandchildren and five great great grandchildren. Step Children; Charles Anderson of Southfield, MI. and Linda Anderson of Kalamazoo, MI. Also four step grandchildren. Four sisters Mable Johnson, Velma Lavine, Joyce Spencer, and Angeletha Jackson, all of Diabol, TX; Betty J. Jackson, Las Vegas, NV. Four Sister in laws Betty Jackson, TX; Pat Jackson, TX; Anna Rose Bonner, Albion; Katherlene Bass, TN.

Carrie was preceded in glory by her husband Thomas Anderson, mother and father, grandsons Michael Lewis Dewalt and Randall Snyder, sister Erma Smith, brothers John Henry Jackson and Jeff Jackson Sr., great great grandson Jamari Miller. Special friends Emily Hudson, Jeanette Smiley, May Langston & Ira Byrd (deceased). Special thank you to Oaklawn Hospital.
